The Hubbard Woods PTO involves parents and teachers working together on behalf of the school and its students.  Parent volunteers help create a strong sense of community, provide support to our teachers and staff, and sponsor programs and activities that enrich our children’s educational experience.

This website highlights the work of the PTO with the aim of helping parents navigate their time at the school and feel connected to the school community.

Chorus – 4th Grade: Chorus is offered to all interested fourth grade students and meets once a week before school. Chorus allows students to focus more intensely on their singing voice and provides opportunities for solo singing in addition to participating as a member of an ensemble.

Girls on the Run: This non-profit program is designed to build confidence in girls while establishing a life-long appreciation of health and fitness.  It may be offered in the fall and/or spring and is open to girls in grades 3 and 4.

Suzuki Music Program: Suzuki is sponsored by District 36 and funded in part by student fees.  It is a parent participation program that offers violin, cello, or viola during school hours to children from 1st through 4th grade.  Registration information is sent home in the spring and again in the fall.

Other parent led programs such as Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts may also be offered from time to time.  When available, information for these programs may be delivered via email or in your child’s backpack.
