The Hubbard Woods PTO involves parents and teachers working together on behalf of the school and its students.  Parent volunteers help create a strong sense of community, provide support to our teachers and staff, and sponsor programs and activities that enrich our children’s educational experience.

This website highlights the work of the PTO with the aim of helping parents navigate their time at the school and feel connected to the school community.

The school day includes a lunch period long enough for students to go home to eat.  Students also have the option to stay at school on a fee per day basis.  The lunchroom is set up in the auditorium.  Weather permitting the children go outdoors for supervised play either before or after their scheduled time in the lunchroom.

Going Home for Lunch

Children who leave school for lunch must be under adult supervision.

Staying at School for Lunch

When registering with the school district parents may elect to have their children stay at school for lunch on some or all of the days of the week.  Students have the option of paying for milk or juice on the days they stay at school for lunch.  If a child who is registered to stay opts not to stay on a day he/she is enrolled notice must be given to the school office by 11:00 am.  (This is not necessary if a child is absent from school due to sickness or vacation.)  Children who are registered to stay are not to leave the school grounds unless notice has been given.  Parents will be notified if their child has an unexplained absence from the lunchroom program.

Children who stay at school may bring a lunch from home or participate in the hot lunch program offered through the PTO.  Parents are requested not to bring their child lunch from McDonald’s, Panera, or other area restaurants.

Hot Lunch Program: Kiddos Catering

The PTO provides students the option of purchasing lunch through Kiddos, a local school lunch management program.  The cost of each lunch is $5.75; $0.50 goes to the PTO to fund environmental sustainability efforts and other PTO initiatives at our school.  Kiddos lunches are offered every day of the week except for half days, Pizza Fun Lunch Fridays, and World Travelers’ Lunch Days.  To go to the Kiddos website and for more information about ordering please click here.

Pizza Fun Lunch

The PTO offers Pizza Fun Lunches as a fundraiser.  Participating students enjoy delicious Domino's pizza on select Fridays throughout the school year.  Sign up takes place in September and students may elect to receive either two or four pieces of pizza.  Gluten free pizza is available.
